My name is Pim Elberse.
I am a freelance light- & video-designer, operator and light-technician. I am mostly working in the Live-Entertainment, or to say it easier: I'm doing lights for Live-Acts on stage, mainly bands. But also clubnights, dance-events and Corporate Events. As I have always been working for different venues I became an allround operator, capable of doing everything from Classical to Metal, from Corporates to Rock-Festivals, and from 70's Disco to Modern Dance-Parties. From 2002 I started touring around the world with different bands and learned to work with many different sets. Wich go litteraly from 6 parcans to 200+ movers, and from home-made desks to Hog's and GrandMA's. Always trying to get everything out of it, how small or big, 10 people or 100.000 people.

- Design of complete stages, lights, trussing, video etc. from small to huge

- Projection with steady & moving projectors
- Use of media-servers like High-End Catalyst, Green Hippo Hippotizer, Coolux Pandora's Box & Martin Maxedia
- Use od LED's and LED-walls

A small story about me:
I was born on the 1st of june in 1980. I think the first time I actually touched a lightboard and 'operated' a disco-party in a local youth-centre I was about 12 years old. After that, some more local parties followed. I think it was about 1995 I started working for local bands just for fun and learning more about the lighting industry. With these bands I crossed through The Netherlands, from bar to club to venue, still learning more and more... From 1997 (I guess...) I started working for a local youth-centre and a local venue. This is where I really started learning designing and operating for live-shows, doing shows from pop to metal and everything around it. After a few years things started to get serious, smaller bands got bigger, I met more people and bands and my knowledge expended. So in 2001 I started as a freelance LD working for Orphanage and Within Temptation. But I still couldn't live from doing lights alone, so I also worked for the video-company Heuvelman. This is where I learned most of my video-skills. But after 2003, it all became to much. So I quit my job and took the risk of being a full-time freelance LD. So far so good...
